Improve lighting ambience

Key parameters here include:

• Reduced light flicker. While results are still being investigated and defined, flicker has negative effects on workers and customers.

• Reduced acoustic noise.

• Improved dimmer performance. Dimming to 10% in the retrofit segment is still adequate. Fixture requirements are now down to 1% dimming with good matching between units.

• Pleasing colour temperature. Light quality has a direct effect on retail business. Colors need to “pop” not washout the appearance of a product in a store display.
